PeaceMakers Community Development Foundation
Peacemakers Community Development Center (CDC) was founded in 2002 and later incorporated in 2007. Our mission is to invest in the wellness and success of disadvantaged youths through academic programs and case management services, Family interventions, Food Pantry, Clothes Drives for the community, Women Empowerment, Widow’s assistance and providing wellness workshops and appreciation events for for Senior Citizens (Old People Association) both in the USA and Nigeria, West Africa.
Our agency is a non-profit organization (501c3) with a major focus on Youth Intervention programs. For the past five years, Peacemakers Community Development has assisted over 50 at-risk youths in overcoming challenges that prevent them from building great futures. For instance, a) reuniting homeless youths with their parents or getting them into the foster care system, b)emotional, financial, and spiritual counseling, c) reenrolling high school dropouts back in school or GED programs, d) placing young adults in jobs, and e) meeting youth’s basic needs with use of monetary donations from individuals, government programs, and community resources.
